My old theme was too dark.

Here is the new theme for the season!

I just became a fan of Craig’s List.  We found a great stroller for a reasonable price on Craig’s List.  The people were very nice!

I have been learning to live more by the Vancouver mantra of renew, reuse and recycle.  We are more careful recyclers.  We recycle every little bit of plastic, metal and paper we dispose of.  I made some writing pads out of scrap paper.  I now buy less writing paper because I dig in the recycled paper bin for blank pages and write on that!

This past Sunday I went to the  Global Warm Forum’s  event called “Eating Locally, Thinking Globally: How to Save the Planet Through Your Food.” It was a great event.  I learned about benefits of eat local produce.  Not only do you support your local produce growers you increase your nutrional intake, the produce has better texture and taste, but also you help cut down pollution by cutting down transportation on the produce.  One of my favorite things that came out of the forum is to produce a list of in-season fruit and vegetables in Vancouver to help you become a food activist.  By asking your local grocer to provide local produce you are helping increase the demand of local produce in your grocery store.  This list will help you know what to buy and when!  Keep your eyes out for this list Vancouverites.

I am trying to reread the Idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky.

I tried last summer and I was almost finished, but I had to start the semester so I put it down.  Now I am a little frustrated because I feel like I am stuck trying to start it up again.  At times i think there is no way I am going to finish this book this summer, but I want to try it.  Maybe after I finish this week’s sermon I wuill get back to it.

On Monday, Lisa and I watched the movie Around the Bend.

It was an excellent film.  It was one of Christopher Walken’s best acting I have seen.  It is about four generations of men who face death and dying.  I think it would be a good film to see with my dad.  Check it out.

It has been a month since I have been out of school.

It was a hectic month eventhough I was out of school.

I am now settled down and hopefully I can get back into the blog thing.

More to come.

This looks like a great event.  Check out the details below:
