The question is: What are 5 things people do not know about you:

  1. When I was little kid I dreamed about being Tony Manero (John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever). I had the white suite and the cool black shirt with the big collar. I was ready for the disco.
  2. To my surprise the only music we had at home was Soul music. We did not grow up listening to Latin Music. Now my dad collects a lot of Latin Music. I just think it was hard to get in Northern VA in the 70’s. I grew up on soul music. Two artist that I remember listening to growing up was The Gap Band (especially “She Dropped a Bomb On Me”) and Smokey Robinson.
  3. One year I was Papa Noel (Santa Claus) at a community center for poor immigrant kids. When I walked into the room the litte kids were in awe because they always had a Caucasian Santa Claus, but that year the Brown Papa Noel walked in and I was wearing these cool sequins Doc Martins I borrowed from the Young Life office. It was the first time I felt like I was just floating in the air.
  4. In my Jr. High English Class everyone picked me to play Julius Cesar because my name was Julio Cesar.
  5. I love to play basketball on a wood court. In the summers when I was a kid, some friends and I would sneak into Whittier High School (it no longer exists, Marriot tore it down and build on top) and play basketball all day. We would sweep the floors and play until we were hungry. At the time it was no longer a HS and we would go down to the locker rooms and wear the old uniforms left over and use the old play books to create plays. My dream was to play for the Georgetown Hoyas.
