Last night we had our advent dinner at our church. It was a great night. We usually have an Advent service, but this year we couldn’t do it becasue there was no room in the inn (the sanctuary was in use). However, it was a good night. We got to share turkey. There is something good about sharing a meal together. We had good conversation. I even got to help a father with his new cell phone. I wonder what it will be like for me when I get older and I need to get a younger person’s help to figure out what is going on with some electronic.
In the future I can anticipate not know what the heck is going on as I have been learning about nanotechnology from the National Geographics podcast. It is so wild to think how this field is going to change the way we live. The reporter talked about how it might be possible to build a car out of this carbon columns that are nano sized things. This car would be super light and strong and it could even be powered by the sun becasue they could build nano-solar panels. On top of that it could have 4 separate super small engines powering each tire! It will be a wonder what is going to happen next. I hope that in this drive to invent that the human is not lost in technology. I got to re-read Technopoly by Postman. It was a good book.
