Yesterday Lisa and I took the Treasure’s (UGM afterschool program) kids to the beach. It was the most perfect day because the low-tide coming in was warm (it is usually cold in Vancouver) the weather was warm. This combination made it the perfect day for a swim. We played in the water and we had some new kids that were lots of fun.
After the beach we went to pick blackberries. They were so excited to pick the berries, even though some of them got scrapped up by the thorns. Each of them had a playdough container full of berries. They made me laugh because they could not hold them still, so by the time we arrived for their moms the berries were turned into jam and it was dripping all over their clothes.
On our way home Lisa said to me, “That was the best day!”
