Last week the students at the school went on extended study week trips. It was a lot of fun to hear stories from the different trips. One group got lost in the middle of Japan. One kid returning from Arizona carried a knife while wearing a “Bomb Squad” t-shirt that said, “If you see us running it might be us.” Another group of students went to S. Africa and learned about the birds and the bees when an Impala tried to ride them, and I am not talking about the low riders.

I am in the process of looking for housing for Lisa and I. We are moving to Vancouver so I can finish my seminary studies. Crazy to think we are going to move without visiting first.

I was talking to Cindy, Lisa’s former roommate, about the situation in Palestine. She said that one of her most optimistic friends in Bethlehem is not asking for a lot of prayer. A cousin of this friend lives 10 min. by foot away from his aunt, but they can no longer see each other because of the wall. Cindy, Lisa and I are talking about organizing an advocacy day to talk to congress people so that there is some attention given to the Palestinian situation. Cindy, Lisa and I have mutual friends that are Palestinian evangelist. They went to an uncle’s funeral, but they were not allowed to enter the Orthodox church because the priest said that because they were Protestant they were Zionist and they were not welcome in the church.
