The Magicicada Brood X is coming to DC in a couple weeks. My sisters wedding reception is outside! I hope they disappear before Memorial Day weekend.
This mother’s day we had an Agentinian family join us for our BBQ. I was showing her the cicada holes and telling her about the cicadas and she says, “What are the Shakiras anyways?” I was cracking up.
I learned that Cicadas are called Chicharras in español.
